That is pretty impressive for a team with so many injuries to be where they are right now, Gagner is getting a lot of points this season.

I'm still amazed that the Oilers are only three points out of third in the West. Thank god for loser points.

Gagner haters at the end of the season will be like " if Gagner hadn't had that 10 game point streak, his stats wouldn't be so high"

Prock will still blame the eight point game from last season.

Do you think BOS would consider Whitney? The team just cleared Thomas's salary and they might take a risk on Whitney to provide some PP spark? He's a UFA, I don't think EDM should really ask for much. Otherwise maybe PIT?

42% of the time, we win every time.

Work ethic still needs to improve.

We aren't 3-4-5, and I take the wins, but sooner or later this team needs to change the way they are thinking. I'm pretty sure it's not Kreuger's idea to lose the puck at the neutral zone or try pass it through 3 players skates.

Really missing Horc, anyone know what the PP is without him?

Time and patience my friends. We see how gagner developed, the skill was always there its the physical growth that was needed. He is still a kid but strength is there to battle. We dont need band aid trades we need to stay the course and let the kids develop.Let them play and learn this year. The other kids we have are brilliant but r still developing strenth wise.Im glad our management team has great ownership who is on board with the rebuild.

I don't think I'd be a happy camper if the Oilers lost 5 in overtime/the shootout

I don't see Whitney coming to Boston, unless we suffer a serious injury to a Top4 guy. The Bruins defensive unit is playing well and I don't see where Whitney would fit in. The most I could see the Bruins giving up for Whitney is a 3rd and maybe a mid to low level prospect.

As I mentioned previously; I think the standings are going to be so close this year that you'll see teams from 10-7 tied for points. Its going to be so tight and a couple teams are going to be heartbroken when they tie for 7th, but end up out of the playoffs.

Oddly enough it would only be 2 points difference.

Not to be negative but for who we played in the last 2 weeks we don't have much of a leg to stand on... Losing to depleted teams like col, Detroit etc..and our goaltending surprisingly enough kept us in every game... Remember all these kids are gonna have a 6 mill price tag per season soon... Don't think as many will be so content once that happens...

Insofar as the record projects to 20-16-12, we're playing borderline playoff hockey.

I never had illusions we were going to be a cup run team. I wanted to see them have the option to be a buyer at the trade deadline. That was my hope, and I don't think we're far off.

Kane 6.3, Toews 6.3, Sharp 5.9, Hossa 5.2, Seabrook 5.8, Keith 5.5

We will be fine if he end up paying Hall, Eberle, RNH, Schultz and Yakupov the same.

Anything less than a playoff appearance has to be considered a disappointment.

If your talking about injuries, then DET or PHI. Holmgren did some well pickings last season. Probably COL too, but dealing within the division will be tough. PIT would only consider Whitney if they feel he can be a good addition for a cup run. I think 3rd and a prospect is fair for Whitney at the moment. Being a healthy scratch doesn't benefit his value whatsoever.

This. The kind of hockey they are playing is not sustainable. Nice that our goalie can steal one for us though.

The low shot totals and high SA HAVE to stop.Shoot the puck ffs.

Well with the best overall player in the world in Justin Schultz, what do Edmonton fans have to worry about Richie?

5 wins, 7 losses is not a winning record.
